Oxford University Press

Oxford University Press

Oxford University Press already had an advanced warehouse at Corby and were an early adopter of automated solutions. Changes in market conditions and customer expectations combined with significant growth meant that a strategic plan was needed for the development of the warehouse.

The Logistics Business was appointed to review the current operation and processes, to analyse the future requirements using the interactive modelling tool i-flow, and then undertake a gap analysis to see where changes were needed. A development plan was produced charting the way forward for the business. Key to this was that the development plans could be implemented without stopping the operation of the business.
